How to share a file
1. Drop up to 5 files. Each one can be 100 MB. 2. Choose how long the link lasts: 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days or 7 days. 3. Add a password if the link should not be enough on its own, and turn on delete after the first download if the file should not stay up. 4. Create the link, then copy it or let someone scan the QR code.
The link looks like gustkit.com/f/ and a short id. Anyone with the link, and the password if you set one, can download until it expires. GustKit does not ask the other person to create an account.
What is stored
Unlike the other tools on this site, this one uploads the file. The bytes go over HTTPS into Cloudflare R2, encrypted at rest. GustKit keeps the file name, the size, the expiry time and a hash of the password if you set one. The password itself is not stored.
When the link expires, the site refuses the download and deletes the files. A lifecycle rule on the bucket also deletes objects under uploads/ that are older than 7 days, even if nobody opens the link. Reports of abuse are kept separately so they can be reviewed after the file is gone.
Free limits and blocked files
The free link holds at most 5 files, 100 MB each, for at most 7 days. One network can start 20 uploads an hour and 1 GB a day. Programs such as .exe, .scr, .bat, .cmd, .msi and .apk are refused. Other files, including .js and HTML, download as attachments and are never shown as a page in the browser.
Longer retention (30 days, 2 GB) is coming with Pro. There is no checkout on this page.
