How to add grain
1. Drop a photo you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Add grain” and download.
GustKit adds a fixed speckle to each red, green and blue channel. Light moves a pixel by up to 12 levels. Medium moves it by up to 28. Strong moves it by up to 56. The same photo and the same setting always make the same grain. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white. Camera location is not copied.
Speckle, then a soft photo
Blur image softens a photo. Pixelate image turns it into blocks. Grayscale throws the hues away. This page keeps the hues and adds speckle. A short video belongs on Blur video, which softens frames and saves MP4.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas of this browser draws the grain. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Photos up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the grain
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A flat gray patch should look speckled. Strong should speckle more than light. 3. If the size changed, you opened a different page.
Blur image softens a photo. This page adds a fixed speckle and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
