How to change image opacity
1. Drop a photo you already have. Audio and video are refused here. 2. Leave 50%, or pick 75% for a light fade or 25% when the photo should sit behind other art. 3. Press “Change opacity” and open the PNG. A checkerboard or a colored page behind it should show through.
GustKit draws the picture on a canvas in this tab and multiplies the alpha of every pixel. The download is always a PNG. A JPG has no alpha, so 50% turns a solid photo into a half-clear PNG. A PNG that was already partly clear gets even clearer. Camera location is not copied into the result.
Opacity is not a watermark and not a fade of a video
A watermark stamps words on top and leaves the photo itself solid. Adjust brightness moves the light of every pixel and keeps the file opaque. This page only changes how see-through the picture is. Fade video is for a short clip, not a still.
The photo stays in this tab
Nothing is sent to a server to be edited. Close the tab and the picture is gone. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link.
How to check the transparency before you place the PNG
1. Open the PNG over a colored page or a checkerboard. The page should show through. 2. Compare it with the original at the same zoom. The width and height should match. 3. If 25% is too faint, run again at 50% or 75%.
JPG cannot keep alpha, so this page always saves PNG. A watermark stamps words and leaves the photo solid. Brightness does not make the picture see-through. Nothing is uploaded.
