Your file never leaves your device. Processed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Location and camera metadata (EXIF) are removed from the result.

How to rotate an image

1. Drop the photos that are sideways or upside down. 2. Choose 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise or 180°. The same turn is applied to every file in the list. 3. Pick JPG, PNG or WebP. 4. Press “Rotate images” and download.

A quarter turn swaps width and height. 180° keeps the same pixel size. Phone photos that were saved sideways are a common case: one 90° turn stands them up.

Not the same as rotating a PDF page

This page turns picture files. To turn pages inside a PDF, use Rotate PDF. To cut a region out of the photo, use Crop image after the turn if the frame is still wrong.

Quality and metadata

The pixels are redrawn, so the file is a new image rather than a flag in the metadata. That means viewers that ignore EXIF orientation still show it upright. GPS and camera data are not copied. JPG is saved at high quality. PNG stays lossless.

Frequently asked questions

Can each photo turn a different way?

Not in one run. The angle applies to the whole batch. Rotate one group, download, then start again for photos that need the other direction.

Does 90° change the dimensions?

Yes. Width and height swap. A 1600×900 photo becomes 900×1600. 180° keeps both numbers.

Will a transparent PNG stay transparent?

Yes if you save as PNG or WebP. JPG paints a white background.

Are the photos uploaded?

No. Rotation runs in this tab.
