Transparent areas become white in JPG.

How to convert PNG to JPG

1. Drop one or more PNG files. Other types are refused on this page. 2. Leave quality at 80% for photos, or pick a smaller preset when the form has a size limit. 3. Press “Convert images” and download each JPG, or a ZIP if there are several.

JPG is what most forms, email clients and older phones accept. Use it for photos and for screenshots that do not need a transparent background.

What happens to transparency

JPG cannot store transparency. Clear pixels are painted white before the file is saved. If the PNG is a logo that must keep a clear background, use PNG to stay PNG on the general Convert image page, or WebP.

Same engine as Convert image

There is no second converter. This URL only fixes the pair PNG to JPG so the page matches the search and the options stay short. The pixels are drawn on the browser canvas. EXIF location is not copied into the JPG.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my logo get a white box?

JPG has no transparent pixels. The empty parts of the PNG are filled white. Keep PNG if the background must stay clear.

Can I convert several PNGs at once?

Yes. Drop a batch up to the limit shown on the page and download a ZIP.

Will a screenshot look worse?

At 80–90% most screenshots still look sharp. Lower presets throw away more detail to save bytes.

Is the PNG uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in this tab.
