How to convert a PDF to images
1. Drop one PDF. A photo is refused on this page. 2. Leave JPG for a photo-heavy page you will send in a chat, or switch to PNG when text and lines should stay sharp. 3. Type a page or a range such as 2-4 when you do not need the whole file. Leave the field empty for every page. 4. Press “Convert to images”. One page downloads on its own. Two or more give you a link for each file and a ZIP.
What gets painted
pdf.js draws each page the way a viewer shows it, including text, lines and pictures, at the dpi you pick. 72 dpi is a quick preview. 150 dpi is the useful default for sharing. 300 dpi is for print and makes much larger files.
This is not Extract images from PDF. That page pulls the picture objects stored inside the file and skips the rest of the page. This page paints the whole page.
Same renderer, a URL for both formats
PDF to JPG is the same engine on an address people open when they already want JPG. Share this page when the next step might be PNG or JPG. The file is not uploaded. Close the tab and the PDF is gone.
How to check the page pictures
1. Open the first image and the last image. The count should match the pages you asked for. 2. If text looks soft, run again at 150 or 300 dpi and pick PNG. 3. Use the ZIP when there is more than one page, or save a single link when you only need one.
PDF to JPG is the same renderer on a URL that starts on JPG. This page is the one to share when the next step might be PNG. Extract images from PDF is different: it pulls pictures stored inside the file. Nothing is uploaded.
