Loop a short video by count or by length

Drop a short clip, choose how many times it plays or how long the result should be, and download an MP4.

Your file never leaves your device. Processed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Short clips only: up to 30 seconds in, and 60 seconds out. GustKit tries a stream copy first, then re-encodes.

How to loop a clip

1. Drop a short video. Audio files and pictures are refused. 2. Leave “How many times” on 2, or switch to target length and type more seconds than the clip. 3. Press “Loop video” and check that the download plays past the original ending.

The first try uses FFmpeg stream_loop and copies the picture and sound. If the container cannot be copied, GustKit joins the clip with the concat filter and re-encodes a short MP4. A result past the limit on the page is refused before encoding starts.

What stays the same

Looping does not speed the clip up and does not change the pitch. Change video speed is that page. Trim video cuts a long recording down to the short piece you can loop here.

The clip stays in this tab

FFmpeg loads once and the browser caches it. The media is not sent away to be repeated. Close the tab and the copy is gone.

How to tell the loop reached the length you asked for

1. Play past the original ending. The picture should start again, not freeze. 2. If you asked for a target length, the download should stop near that time. 3. If the copy looks broken, run again: GustKit then re-encodes with concat.

Two plays of a 6 second clip is about 12 seconds. The page refuses a result past the output limit. Trim video is how you get under the input limit. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I loop a full movie?

No. This page is for a short clip, under the limit shown next to the button. Trim the piece you want, then loop that piece.

Does the sound repeat too?

Yes. Picture and soundtrack stay together. A silent video still loops the picture.

Why is 2 the smallest count?

One play is the file you already have. Looping starts at two.

Is the video uploaded?

No. The repeat runs in this tab.

The download is the same length as the original. What happened?

The target length was not longer than the clip, or the repeat count was refused. Pick 2 plays, or a target longer than the clip and under the limit.

Can I loop and also fade in one step?

No. Loop first, then open Fade video on the download if the result is still short enough.
