How to round image corners
1. Drop one photo or a batch. Audio and PDF files are refused here. 2. Leave Soft, or pick Strong when the curve should be obvious. 3. Leave Transparent for a PNG you can place on any background, or pick a color when the corners should be painted. 4. Press “Round corners” and open the download.
The radius is a percentage of the shorter side, so a 400 px icon and a 4000 px photo get a similar curve. Save PNG when the corners must stay clear. JPG has no transparency, so those corners become white.
What stays inside the curve
Width and height do not change. Pixels outside the rounded rectangle are cleared or painted. Pixels inside stay as they were. This is not a crop: you do not lose the middle of the photo, and you do not throw away a margin.
A logo with its own transparency keeps that transparency inside the curve when you save PNG or WebP. Camera location is not copied into the new file.
The picture stays in this tab
The browser canvas clips the bitmap and encodes the file. Close the tab and the photo is gone. There is no account and no upload step.
How to check the rounded corners
1. Open the PNG and look at a corner against a colored page. You should see the page, not a white wedge. 2. If the curve is too tight, run again at Strong. 3. If the file must be JPG, expect white corners and switch back to PNG when you need them clear.
The radius is a share of the shorter side, so a tall photo and a wide photo get a similar curve. Crop image is the page that throws pixels away. Nothing is uploaded.
