How to save a frame as JPG
1. Drop one video. Pictures and audio-only files are refused here. 2. Leave 0:00 for the first frame, type a time, or pause the player and press “Use the player time”. 3. Press “Save frame” and open the JPG.
The download is one picture, drawn from the video in this tab. Width and height follow that frame. There is no soundtrack in a JPG. Video to GIF is the page that keeps motion. GIF to MP4 is the page for an animated GIF.
A still, not a contact sheet
This page saves the frame you asked for and stops. It does not export every frame, and it does not build a thumbnail strip. Trim video is how you keep a moving piece. If the time is past the end of the file, the button explains that the time has to sit inside the clip.
The video stays in this tab
The still is painted from the video you dropped. The rest of the clip is not re-encoded. Close the tab and the video is gone. GustKit does not fetch video from a link.
How to check the still before you post it
1. Open the JPG and look at the moment you asked for. 2. If you landed on a blur between two frames, move the time by a fraction of a second and run again. 3. Use Video to GIF when you need the motion, not a still.
The picture matches the video frame. It is not upscaled. Camera metadata from the video container is not copied into the JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
