How to add a border to a video
1. Drop one short video you already have. Audio and pictures are refused here. 2. Leave 16 px, or pick a thinner or wider frame. 3. Leave Black, or pick White, Red or Blue. 4. Press “Add border” and pause the download on a corner. The color you picked should be there, and the original picture should still be in the middle.
GustKit runs the FFmpeg pad filter in this tab and re-encodes the picture. The same width is added on the top, bottom, left and right. The clip does not get cropped. The soundtrack stays. A long clip is refused because every frame is re-encoded.
A border is not letterbox bars and not a photo frame
Letterbox video grows the frame to 16:9, 9:16 or a square and only adds bars on the sides that need them. Add border on a photo is a still image. This page adds the same colored strip on all four sides of a short clip and saves an MP4.
The clip stays in this tab
The first visit downloads FFmpeg. Later visits reuse the browser cache. Trim a long video under the limit shown on the page before you add the frame. GustKit does not fetch a video from a link.
How to check the frame before you replace the clip
1. Pause the download on a corner and on a face or a logo. The corner should be the color you picked. The face should still be fully visible. 2. If the frame ate the wrong amount, change the width and run again. 3. Keep the original until the soundtrack still lines up.
Letterbox video only adds bars on the sides that need them to hit a shape. Add border on a photo is a still. This page adds the same strip on all four sides of a short clip. Nothing is uploaded.
