How to make a duotone image
1. Drop one or more JPG, PNG or WebP files. Audio and video are refused here. 2. Leave Navy and gold, or pick Ink and rose or Forest and sand. 3. Leave the format on “Same as original”, or pick PNG when you need a clear background. 4. Press “Make duotone” and download each file, or a ZIP if there are several.
GustKit reads the brightness of each pixel and mixes the two colors on a canvas in this tab. Black becomes the dark color. White becomes the light color. A mid gray lands between them. Width and height stay the same. Camera location is not copied.
Duotone is not sepia or grayscale
Grayscale image removes color and leaves brightness. Sepia image pushes the photo toward brown. This page replaces both ends of the brightness scale with two colors you pick. Invert colors flips each channel and does not choose a pair. Adjust brightness moves the light and keeps the original hues.
The photo stays in this tab
Nothing is sent to a server to be edited. Close the tab and the picture is gone. A photo over the megapixel limit on the page is refused, because the canvas has to hold every pixel.
How to check the two colors before you post the photo
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A white area should be the light color of the pair. A black area should be the dark color. 3. If a logo lost its clear background, run again and save PNG.
Sepia image pushes the photo toward brown. Grayscale image only removes color. This page maps brightness onto two colors. Nothing is uploaded.
