How to solarize an image
1. Drop a photo you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Solarize image” and download.
GustKit reads each red, green and blue channel on the canvas. Light flips a channel at 192 or above. Medium uses 128. Strong uses 64. A flipped channel becomes 255 minus its value. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white.
A partial flip, the same frame
Invert colors flips every channel, including the dark ones. Threshold image keeps only black and white. This page flips only the channels that reach the cutoff. The download is PNG or JPG. Camera location is not copied.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas of this browser does the math. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Photos up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the solarized photo
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A bright highlight should look darker. 3. A dark shadow should look about the same on Medium. If too much of the photo flipped, run again on Light.
Invert colors flips every channel. This page flips only channels at the cutoff or above and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
