How to sketch an image
1. Drop a photo you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Sketch” and download.
GustKit turns the photo into brightness, blurs the inverted brightness, and mixes the two so a flat wall goes white. A fast change in brightness is drawn in black. Light uses a blur of 1 pixel and only the hardest edges. Medium uses 2 pixels. Strong uses 3 pixels and inks more of the photo. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white.
Pencil paper, then a line
Cartoonize keeps poster colors and then adds ink. Emboss lifts edges into gray relief. Threshold turns the whole photo black or white at one cutoff. This page aims at white paper and a dark line, which reads more like a pencil sketch. The download is PNG or JPG. Camera location is not copied.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas of this browser does the math. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Photos up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the sketch
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A flat wall should sit near white. 3. A sharp edge should turn dark. If too much of the photo went black, run again on Light.
Cartoonize keeps poster colors. This page aims at white paper and a dark line and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
