How to pixelate a video
1. Drop a short video you already have. A photo or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave light, or pick medium or strong. 3. Press “Pixelate video” and download the MP4.
GustKit shrinks the frame with the FFmpeg scale filter and nearest neighbor, then scales it back up the same way. Light uses a 4 pixel block. Medium uses 8. Strong uses 16. The frame keeps its size when the width and height divide by that block. A soundtrack is kept when the file has one. A photo belongs on Pixelate image.
Blocks, not a soft blur
Blur video softens a hard edge. Sharpen video clears one. This page replaces detail with flat blocks and saves MP4. A strong block hides a face better than a light one. Keep the original until the download looks right.
The clip stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser. GustKit does not fetch video from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Clips up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the pixelated clip
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. A fine pattern should turn into flat blocks. Strong should use larger blocks than light. 3. If the download is not MP4, you opened a different page.
Blur video softens edges. This page runs two FFmpeg scale passes with nearest neighbor and saves MP4. Nothing is uploaded.
