How to gate noise
1. Drop an audio file you already have. A photo or a video is refused here. 2. Leave light, or pick medium or strong. 3. Press “Apply noise gate” and download.
GustKit runs the FFmpeg agate filter. Light only pulls down what is already very quiet. Strong holds a higher floor and drops what sits under it. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC stay in that type. A video soundtrack belongs on the video pages.
A floor, not a ceiling
The audio limiter stops loud peaks. The compressor also lifts quiet notes. This page leaves a loud note where it is and lowers the quiet parts. It does not change the bitrate on its own. The extension stays the same.
The audio stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser. GustKit does not fetch audio from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Files up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the noise gate
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. A quiet hiss should sit lower. Strong should drop it more than light. A loud note should stay near where it was. 3. If the file type changed, you opened a different page.
The audio limiter stops loud peaks. This page runs the FFmpeg agate filter and keeps the file type. Quiet parts drop and a loud note stays. Nothing is uploaded.
