How to shift the pitch
1. Drop an audio file you already have. A photo or a video is refused here. 2. Leave up, or pick lower or high. 3. Press “Shift pitch” and download.
GustKit resamples to 44100, then runs asetrate and atempo. Lower drops the note about 2 semitones. Up raises it about 2. High raises it about 7. asetrate would shorten the file on its own. atempo puts the length back. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC stay in that type.
The note moves, the clock does not
Change audio speed uses atempo the other way: the pitch stays and the length changes. This page moves the pitch and keeps the length. It is not a reverse. Reverse audio plays the file backward and leaves the pitch where it was.
The audio stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser. GustKit does not fetch audio from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Files up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the pitch
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. The note should sit higher or lower, and the file should run about as long as the original. High should sit higher than up. 3. If the file type changed, you opened a different page.
Change audio speed keeps the pitch and changes the length. This page runs FFmpeg asetrate and atempo so the pitch moves and the length stays. Nothing is uploaded.
