Network & Domains

See the public IP of this connection, or run a WHOIS lookup to check domain availability. The menu shortens this section to Network. Queries are not stored.

Your file never leaves your device.

Quick picks

How to use these network tools

1. Open What is my IP to see the address this connection presents, or to look up another IP. 2. Open WHOIS lookup to check domain availability and read the registrar, dates, nameservers and DNSSEC. 3. Use the card on each page. There is no file to drop.

Network & Domains is the home for address and domain questions. File tools stay in the other categories and still run in the browser.

What a lookup shows

What is my IP shows the public address, a country and city estimate, the ISP and flags for proxy, hosting and mobile. WHOIS lookup is the domain lookup. It asks a public RDAP registry whether a name is registered.

The cyan color on these cards is the network color. The same color marks the column in the Tools menu.

What we keep

Neither tool stores what you look up. IP location comes from an IP database. WHOIS queries go to public RDAP registries. A shared cache may keep a public WHOIS answer for about an hour. Your files on the other tools never take this path.
