How to make a halftone
1. Drop a JPG or PNG you already have. A video, an audio file or a WebP is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick fine or coarse. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Apply halftone” and download.
GustKit reads the brightness of each cell and paints a black circle on white paper. Fine uses cells of about 4 pixels. Medium uses about 8. Coarse uses about 12. A dark cell gets a larger circle. A white cell gets no circle. Width and height stay the same.
Dots, not flat tiles
Pixelate image paints flat blocks of the original color, with no gap. Tile mosaic paints flat squares and a dark grout line. Threshold turns each pixel black or white with no circle. This page draws round dots whose size follows the darkness. It does not add a frame.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas in this browser does the work. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Camera location is not copied into the download.
How to check the halftone
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A dark area should become larger black dots than a light area. Coarse should use wider cells than fine. 3. If the size changed, you opened a different page.
Pixelate image paints flat blocks. Threshold has no circles. This page draws black dots on white and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
