How to add a video vignette
1. Drop a video you already have. A photo or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave strong, or pick light or medium. 3. Press “Add vignette” and download the MP4.
GustKit runs the FFmpeg vignette filter in forward mode. Strong uses a lens angle of PI/4. Medium uses PI/6. Light uses PI/12. A smaller angle leaves the corners closer to the original. Width and height stay the same. A soundtrack is encoded again in AAC and stays in step.
Dark corners on every frame, not a fade
Vignette does this on a JPG, PNG or WebP. Fade video fades the whole frame in or out over time. This page darkens the corners of a short clip and saves MP4. It does not crop the frame and it does not change the speed.
The video stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser, on one thread. GustKit does not fetch a video from a link. Leave the tab open until the download appears. Close it and the file is gone. Clips up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the vignette
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. The corners should be darker than the middle. Strong should darken them more than light. 3. If the download is not MP4, or the frame size changed, you opened a different page.
Fade video fades the whole frame over time. This page runs FFmpeg vignette, keeps the frame size, and saves MP4. Nothing is uploaded.
