How to reduce vocals
1. Drop an audio file you already have. A photo or a video is refused here. 2. Leave strong, or pick light or medium. 3. Press “Reduce vocals” and download.
GustKit runs FFmpeg stereotools and lowers the middle, the part both channels share. Strong sets that level to 0.015625, the lowest the filter allows. Medium uses 0.25. Light uses 0.55. This is the center cut used for karaoke. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC stay in that type. The length stays about the same.
A quieter center, not a pan
Audio pan moves the balance toward one side. Stereo to mono mixes both channels into one. This page lowers what is the same on left and right and keeps the file type. A voice already in the center drops. A guitar parked on one side stays. It does not change the pitch.
The audio stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser, on one thread. GustKit does not fetch audio from a link. Leave the tab open until the download appears. Close it and the file is gone. Audio up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the vocal reduction
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. A tone that is the same on both sides should sit lower. Strong should drop it more than light. 3. If the file type changed, you opened a different page.
Audio pan moves the balance to one side. This page runs an FFmpeg center cut and keeps the file type. Nothing is uploaded.
